FAQ

Questions we are asked before a project starts

Twelve answers covering scope, timelines, pricing, ownership and how to begin.

Who do you usually work with?
Counterpoint works with individuals, entrepreneurs and small businesses. Most of our clients are people who have a clear idea of what they sell but need help shaping how it is presented — a founder launching something new, a small team without an in-house designer, or a business whose materials have grown inconsistent over time.
How long does a project take?
A focused piece of work — a brand clarity session, a content batch or a single campaign plan — is usually completed in two to four weeks. Larger programmes that cover positioning, content and campaigning together typically run across six to twelve weeks. You get a written timeline before any work begins, and we tell you at the start which parts depend on your feedback.
How do you price your work?
Smaller, clearly defined pieces are published on our Services page as fixed entry prices, so you can see the starting point without asking. Wider project work is quoted individually: we read your brief, work out the scope honestly, and send a fixed price with a breakdown. There are no hourly surprises and no charges for conversations.
Will we receive brand guidelines?
Yes. Every positioning and brand presentation project ends with a written guide you own. At minimum it covers your positioning statement, tone of voice with real examples, colour and type rules, and notes on how to apply them across print and digital. It is written to be used by people who are not designers.
Can you work alongside our existing team?
Often, yes. Many clients keep their own marketing or design resource and bring us in for strategy, art direction or overflow content production. We agree who owns which part in writing, share working files where useful, and can join your existing review process rather than replacing it.
How many rounds of changes are included?
Two structured revision rounds are included in every agreed scope. We collect feedback in one consolidated round rather than a running conversation, because that keeps decisions clear and timelines honest. If a project needs more than two rounds, we tell you before doing the extra work and confirm the cost first.
What formats will we receive the files in?
You receive editable source files plus exported versions ready for use. That usually means vector logo files, editable design documents, written copy in a text document or spreadsheet, and social assets at the sizes your chosen platforms require. Everything is delivered to a shared folder you keep access to.
What do you need from us to start?
Three things: a short description of the project and what success looks like, any existing brand material you already have, and one person on your side who can approve work. That is enough for us to scope the job and send a written quote. If you only have the first one, we can start there.
Do you work with businesses outside the United Kingdom?
We are based in the United Kingdom and work remotely with clients elsewhere. Everything is handled online through shared documents and scheduled calls, so location matters less than having a clear brief and a decision-maker who is available.
How do we start a project?
Send an email to info@counterpointcreative.support with a few lines about what you are working on, or use the form on our Contact page. You will get a reply within two working days with either a proposal, a couple of clarifying questions, or an honest note that we are not the right fit.
Who owns the work once it is finished?
Ownership of the final agreed deliverables transfers to you on final payment, as set out in our Terms. We keep the right to describe the type of work we do in general terms, but we will not publish your materials, name or files without asking you first.
What if we need something urgent?
Tell us the deadline when you first get in touch rather than later. If a compressed timeline is realistic we will say so and confirm the cost in writing. If it is not, we will say that instead — we would rather turn down a rush job than deliver something poor.
